In the previous 4 episodes of the Illustrator series, we have learned all the technical aspects of creating designs. But creating a design beautifully is not the last thing, how you present it to the client is also very important. In today's episode, we will learn about that presentation and some other hidden tools.
Chapter 21: Using Mockups Bringing Design to Life
You've created a logo, but the way it looks on a T-shirt or a business card is called a mockup. The latest version of Illustrator now has an in-built mockup feature.
- How to: Select your design and click Object > Mockup (Beta) > Make. Illustrator will then show you how to place your design on various realistic objects.
- Why : It gives the client a clear idea of your design and increases your chances of getting the job.

Chapter 22: Creating Custom Brushes
In Illustrator, you can use any shape you create as a brush, not just the default brush.
- Method : Draw any small shape or pattern. Now drag it and drop it into the Brushes Panel . Then select the Art Brush or Pattern Brush.
- Usage : It works like magic for border designs, calligraphy, and ornamental designs.
Chapter 23: Graphic Styles and Appearance Panel
If you want to use the same effect (such as shadow, border, color) repeatedly, you can save it as Graphic Styles instead of setting it repeatedly.
- Apperance Panel: From here you can add multiple strokes or multiple fill colors to a text to make your design unique.

Chapter 24: Rules for creating a package file
When you finish the work and send the main file to the client, sometimes the fonts or images you used may appear missing on the client's PC. To avoid this, use the Package feature.
- Procedure : Click File > Package. This will organize your design files, all used fonts, and images into a folder. This is the correct way to send work to professionals.
Chapter 25: Final words and career advice on learning Illustrator

1. Open an account on Dribbble or Behance and upload your work.
