Welcome to our special episode on Illustrator. If you've practiced the last 5 episodes well, you're now a proficient user. But to become an expert designer, you need to learn to work quickly. In today's episode, we'll learn all the tips that will turn your hours of work into minutes.
Chapter 26: Generative Recolor The Magic of AI
Sometimes after creating a logo or illustration, the color palette is not what you want. Changing all the colors over and over again is quite annoying. This is where the magic of AI comes in.
- How to: Select your entire artwork and go to Edit > Edit Colors > Generative Recolor. Here you just type "Neon Night" or "Pastel Summer", and Illustrator will show you hundreds of color combinations in a matter of seconds.
- Why : Using this allows you to quickly show clients different color versions of the same design.

Chapter 27: Symbols and Global Editing
Let's say you're designing a huge poster with 50 small stars. Suddenly, the client asks you to change the color of the stars. Would you color the 50 stars separately? Absolutely not!
- Symbol Tool: When you save a shape as a 'Symbol' and use it repeatedly, just edit the main symbol and the remaining 50 will be automatically updated.
- Global Edit: This helps you select and edit all objects that look similar together.
Chapter 28: Liquify & Warp Effects
The Warp effect works like magic to give writing or any shape a slightly curved or wavy style . It is currently being widely used in T-shirt designs and custom calligraphy.
- Method : Select the object and go to Effect > Warp. From here, choose Arc, Fish, or Wave style. This will give your design a dynamic look.

Chapter 29: Repeat Tool An Easy Way to Create Patterns
Have you ever wanted to create a mandala or a beautiful wallpaper pattern? Illustrator's Repeat tool makes it incredibly easy.
1. Radial Repeat: To arrange a design in a circle.
2. Grid Repeat: To arrange data like tiles on a wall.
3. Mirror Repeat: Whatever you draw on one side, its reflection will automatically be created on the other side.
Chapter 30: Final Advice from a Pro-Designer
In this final part of the Illustrator series, I will tell you 3 secrets:
- White Space: Don't clutter your design. Learn to use white space beautifully.
- Alignment over Art: No matter how good your idea is, if the alignment is not right, the design will look bad.
- Save , Save, Save: Never forget the habit of pressing Ctrl + S while working.
